Meet our unique Digital Storytelling creation called ‘Oryza: Healing Ground’. Created for the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, IDFA. Carefully crafted in our workshop and making an impact on stage.
Background of the structure: “This cultural expression is reinterpreted in the form of a structure of brass, wood, and textiles that acts as a living archive. The installation generates audiovisual motifs that evoke Black land stewards’ evolving relationship with the soil. Oryza presents important evidence demonstrating the resilience, inventiveness and historical influence of Black farmers through the centuries”.
IDFA DocLab is an interdisciplinary platform for interactive and immersive documentary art. DocLab pushes the boundaries of how we perceive and engage with non-fiction narratives by blending art, reality, and technology.
