Project info
From a 3D drawing to an impressive showpiece: a giant Sinterklaas-book measuring 3.3 meters wide and 2 meters tall. This unique object was installed on a stage on the first floor of Westfield Mall, serving as a striking centerpiece for (young) visitors. The design aimed to replicate the look of an open book with a realistic, eye-catching effect.
To achieve this, we built a curved frame perfectly shaped to support the contour of a press fabric. The pages were precision-cut to add depth and a true 3D feel. For the spine, we created a rounded column that balances both the aesthetic and structural integrity of the piece.
Safety was a top priority for a project of this scale. The book was placed at a strategic angle, and the column was reinforced to ensure stability, even in a busy environment. The cover was finished by our specialists, sprayed to perfection, and enhanced with high-quality stickers to mimic the look of a luxurious bookbinding. The result was both robust and detailed.
To complete the scene, we provided packages in various sizes. Arranged around the book to add atmosphere and context to the stage.
We also designed the structure to be easily dismantled, making it simple to store and reuse for future events.
